The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the 1910s.
A pair of pen rests sit at the front styled as branches. A nice mix of art nouveau details blending with the new art deco shapes and form. Hallmarked to the stand, well holders, well mounts and lids for Walter Hayes Rabone and Frank Rabone, Birmingham 1916 (stand base) and 1917, all others.

It measures 8 7/8" by 6 3/8" wide and 2 1/2" high and the stand weight is 318g/10.2ozt. Condition is very good. A very small surface chip to the base of one well. No other damage and light surface wear appropriate for age and use. The wells have replacement clear glass liners but they fit well and are in good order.
