Pretty Vintage English Sterling Silver Purse - 1919

Description

A wonderful example of an early twentieth century coin purse beautifully decorated with smart engine-turned vertical stripes with the prettiest raised border or ribbon and bows; there is a central circular vacant cartouche to the front,

The push button clasp and hinge are both in perfect working order and once opened reveals a lovely original leather interior. The purse retains it's original sterling silver chain and finger ring.

The purse is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1919 together with the makers mark for the silversmith's, Henry Williamson Ltd. 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 3/4" thick; 5 3/4" long including chain.
