Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The feet too are flared out. They have been French polished & completely re-upholstered in a taupe coloured fabric. They also have fully coil sprung seats, not like the new equivalents, which will only last you 5 years. These will last a lifetime. They date to around the 1930’s period & are in good condition throughout.
