Lowestoft Porcelain Shell Shaped Cream Jug Circa 1770 (Ex Wheeler Collection)

Description

Are rare form of shell shaped cream jug by the Lowestoft Porcelain Factory. The blue and white piece has the Wheeler Collection label and is shown in Plate 120 of Geoffrey A Goddens's Lowestoft Porcelain 2nd edition pg 101.

The piece is hand decorated to the under mouth with floral sprigs as well as bas handle and internally. It's in good condition although it has two hairlines internally both leading to minor staining externally.
