This rug from around 1880 is in excellent pile - soft, lustrous, glossy wool and a field rendition of the 'mina khani' or nectar blossom design - famous in the Baluch weavings of Khorassan, north-east Persia. The original brocaded skirts remain intact at both ends.
Size: 1.84m x 0.91m (6' x 3').
