A huge Japanese Meiji period Satsuma porcelain lobed bowl hand painted in the centre with a circular gilt bordered cartouche depicting a family feeding a goose, the lobed sides of the bowl panelled with a gilt border and decorated with diaper decoration and floral studies. This precise decoration continuous on the outside of the bowl, matching the order on the inside, and the bowl is signed on the underside; it is in excellent condition with no damage and has a diameter of 15 ½ inches.
