A fine & large Victorian claret jug c.1870 of cylindrical form with a bulbous bottom acid etched around the glass body with a ribbon and vine leaf motif finished with a star cut base. This beautiful claret jug has an ornate silver plate mount decorated with embossed floral decoration, a bacchanalian spout and a hinged cover with a shield & lion rampant finial. The handle adorned with a Grecian woman scrolling down to a waisted band this fabulous claret jug is in excellent condition standing 11 ½ inches tall
