A fine quality Japanese bronze mixed metal vase from the Meiji period beautifully decorated around the body with two onlaid birds, one in flight, the other perched on the branch of a cherry blossom tree, inlaid with gold & silver flowers in bloom. This charming vase has an intricate inlaid silver border around the rim and two ears either side of the neck which may have been later replaced, apart from a minor dink on the neck it is in very good condition standing 5 ½ inches tall.
