Description

Beautiful leather tub chair dating from the early 19th Century on a mahogany inlaid frame. It is strong and sturdy and a good comfortable chair with a sprung seat. It has a lovely square shape with nice small proportions and spade feet.

It is approximately 27" (70cm) high and the arms are 29" (75cm) wide across. The seat is approximately 25" (64cm) deep

It is in good condition for its age and has developed a lovely worn and aged patina. It is structurally sound and has been thoroughly cleaned and polished. There are no major damages in the leather and the sides are all in good order. The seat has worn in the places its been used the most and the front has frayed slightly and there are some small holes along the front (see photo) but nothing detrimental for a chair of this style. It is not without a few small marks here and there on the frame but nothing untoward for a chair of this age.
