A fine pair of Japanese Meiji period satsuma porcelain vases on cobalt blue ground, each decorated on the front and back with an oval cartouche finished on one side with complimentary temple scenes and the other with many figures, finely detailed and highly gilded. Each vase is decorated with gilded Phoenix in each side and is signed on the underside, general wear to the gilding otherwise both vases are perfect and stand 6 inches tall.
