Brass Bound Leather Box on Stand

1900 - 1920
Description

An impressive and unusual brass bound box, or cupboard, on stand. The box is in brown leather decorated with brass stud-work and ornate brass hinges and lock plate. The two doors (lockable, key supplied) open to access a shelved interior. The box stands on a lovely walnut stand with a single drawer and turned legs which are united by an x-frame stretcher. Professionally cleaned and waxed in our workshops it has a wonderful colour and patina. There are some minor abrasions to the leather which do not detract from its appeal and indeed provide some extra character.
