Description

A Mid 19th Century Marble Desk Thermometer.

The ionic column with a flat cap and stepped base. The column mounted with an exposed tube, reading against an arched top dial, marked for temperature to the left side, and to the right an indication of temperature, being 'freezing, termperate, blood heat, fever heat'.

Date c 1850.

Height 9 1/2 inches, diameter 3 3/4 inches.
