The seat with a stepped 'D' shaped mould edge and rounded corners. The seat finished to each end with turned bolsters, with slightly rounded turned ends. The seat resting on a swept frieze, decorated to the centre with carved scrolling leaves, the frieze moulding to the lower edge flowing to the tapering cabriole legs, carved to the knees with hanging flowers. The legs tapering to raised scroll toes.
The rear legs of flat tapering profile, to allow a snug fit against a wall.
Date c 1850.
