Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The break front cornice with a stepped and concave profile, overhanging the frieze inlaid with a rectangular re-entrant cornered satinwood panel, surrounded by a bank of inlaid specimen wood stringing, of twist design.
The lower friexe finished with a stepped and concave profile shaping.
In very good original condition with wood back.
Date c 1820.
