19th Century Japanese black lacquered and gilt cabinet on stand, the top having scroll decoration with sliding panels underneath, the cabinet comprising of various shelves, four drawers and a two door cupboard, both sides of the cabinet having a shaped cut out, supported on a base with a lovely shaped apron terminating on curved feet, the whole cabinet is wonderfully decorated with gilt floral design and the panels, drawers and the back of the cabinet depicting rural Japanese scenes. Circa 1880.
