Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The jar standing on a waisted socle and downswept circular foot. The underside of the foot recessed, and with makers mark, AK. The body with a scrolled reserve, topped by a basket of fruit, toward which a pair of peacocks reach.
The centre of the reserve titled, 'C. ROSARUM'.
In very good condition throughout.
Date c 1740.
Height 10 inches, width 5 3/4 inches, depth 5 3/4 inches.
