A beautiful late Victorian novelty figural letter clip with a solid English Oak base and mounted with an extremely handsome gilded brass Owl's face with a wonderful expression and retaining his two original glass eyes.

The spring is strong and in full working order.

Late Victorian in era, dating to around 1890. Ready to furnish the finest of desk-tops. Excellent condition measuring 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 2".
