An antique silver pocket watch from Fattorini & Sons of Bradford.

The Fattorini family were well known jewellers established in 1827 by Antonio Fattorini and his four youngest sons who subsequently ran the three branches in Skipton, Bradford and Harrogate. These three branches went on to become run independently of each other and they then became the future inheritance of the sons concerned.

This particular watch has a good quality Swiss 17-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 46mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1909 with a maker’s mark for the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case is in good condition with just one small knock to the side and a little gentle unevenness to the back. The back of the case has the most gorgeous initials... although we are struggling to decipher them.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The signed dial looks good to the naked eye… if you look closely, you can just see a short faint hairline to the right of the sub seconds dial. Blued steel hands and an outer minute.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
