Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The case is oval and beautifully engraved with birds, flowers and a vacant circular cartouche. The interior reveals twin apertures with glass and mounts to hold the photographs. A wonderful collectors piece with a practical use.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents, splits or loss. The mounts are showing some age related wear and tear but still work well. The frame closes well but the clasp is softening. All commensurate with age and use.
Hallmarks :- Clear and readable, marks to both sides.
