ANTIQUE #SA479312

Antique Solid Silver-topped Whisky Noggin With Label

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is a fine example of a whisky noggin. A noggin, or ''Chota Peg'', was apparently designed as a single serving of whiskey, either served at table or taken to bed.

This one is in the classic star burst design. The solid sterling silver lid is clearly hallmarked for Chester 1935, with the maker''s mark of S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd. Both the glass and silver are in excellent condition. The label is hallmarked Birmingham 1912 and carries the maker''s mark of James Deakin & Sons.
