A beautiful English hallmarked silver vesta case dated 1896 assayed in Birmingham made by Joseph Gloster to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, the front depicts the Queens head in portrait in a heart cartouche surrounded by embossed floral decoration, the reverse mimics the front but with a clear heart cartouche which has not been engraved.
This fine vesta case has a bale on the hinged lid and is stamped with an Rd number, it is in excellent overall condition with good, clean marks and measures 2 inches in length weighing 19g.
