Stylish Antique English Egg Cruet C.1890

Description

These egg cruets hardly ever come with the original spoons, they get lost over 150 years, this one is an exception retaining all three original spoons with the matching makers mark to the stand.

Made from English silver plate, this most unusual set contains three egg cups and next to each a holder for a second egg for each of three at the table. The stand has a crimp decorated rim to the base and stands on three original bun feet. There are three handles, each made from turned and shaped Ebony.

The underside of the stand is where the full mark can be found for the silversmith, THOMAS LATHAM & ERNEST MORTON or Birmingham.

Excellent condition and measuring approximately 8" in diameter x 4 3/4" tall.
