Superb Pair Georgian Chippendale Mahogany Side Chairs C1780

Description

These are a superb pair of georgian chippendale side or hall armchairs and dating from around 1780. Tconstructed from solid mahogany they have a carved top rail and reeded side supports above a pierced and carved back splat with shepherds crook armrests and a saddle drop in seat pad covered in chenille. They stand on squared legs on squared stretchers.

A fabulous pair of original georgian chippendale chairs in very good condition being hand & peg joined.

Each chair measures: 36" high X seat height 16" X 21" deep X 23" wide
