Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
There is an elaborate Carved Gesso and Gilt Crest on the top of the mirror, at the centre there is a ferocious Lyons mask, he has a ring in his mouth and he is flanked on either side by female Winged Sphinx, there are very fine quality and elaborated carvings of fruits and flowers all the way along the top to the far corners
The mirror frame is in good condition with very little chipping, the glass has slight foxing but nothing very noticeable
The Mirror frame is 78” high and 42” wide and 7” deep
