Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The set comprising three jars with covers, and a pair of trumpet vases. The jar covers of hexagonal domed shape, topped by finials in the form of birds feeding on fruit.
The vases likewise of hexagonal shape, with waisted bodies and a spreading foot.

The whole set decorated in polychrome depicting a winter scene, as a man wearing ice skates, pushes a sleigh on which a young child sits. They skate over a frozen river, as they pass a small village, with houses, a castle and a windmill. The scenes within raised scrolled and floral reserves, with hatched backgrounds.
Date c 1770.
Height 12 inches, width 5 1/2 inches, depth 3 1/2 inches.
