Large Brass Mounted Mahogany Bookcase C.1900.

Description

Fabulous French brass mounted mahogany breakfront bookcase c.1900. Three long glazed doors with bevelled glass panels fitted inside with adjustable shelves, plus three useful drawers in the base. An exceptional example of the form, crowned with a fine shaped cornice with classical theme brass mounts to the centre. Four splendid turned and fluted columns across the front with brass capitals and bases, flower garlands and collars. Further acanthus leaf pattern mounts, extensive brass mouldings, and decorative escutcheon plates. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied. Note the bookcase completely disassembles for ease of delivery.
