A superb pair of decorative 19th Century wrought iron garden chairs in the original green paint. The design of this pair of French chairs is particularly artistic with scrolling arms and back detail, curved stretchers, and high back with inset oval trellis panels topped with a fleur de lis decoration. The condition is generally good, the appeal of these chairs is in the beauty of the original painted surface and patina. The photographs show the painted details and other close up shots. There is a slim bar missing from one of the trellis panels and a very slight distortion to one of the back legs. The chairs are sturdy and solid to sit on. A most unusual and decorative pair of antique garden chairs that would add style to any garden, conservatory, or hall way.
