A Fine George III Mahogany Side Cabinet

18th century
Description

Standing on splay feet with a shaped apron above which are a pair of doors with brass grilles enclosing a pair of adjustable shelves. The ends and the top are in flame mahogany, the top also being banded in satinwood. 950mm high, 850mm wide and 290mm deep. Circa 1790.

This cabinet was sold by Norman Adams Antiques in the 1960's and as is typical of their stock, this piece is elegant and retains a beautiful colour and patina. The top does have some ring marks but to disturb the surface would be a shame.
