Description

A fabulous and very usable late Victorian magnifying glass made from solid English brass with a quality screwed construction and the handle decorated with Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell with it's iridescent qualities.

This example is lucky enough to have a presentation engraving dated 1891. It looks to have been given to a teacher by class E1 in Chudleigh, Devon, England.

Excellent condition with a superb magnification and ready to use. 7 1/2" in length with a glass diameter measuring 3 1/4".
