A Gents 1950s Smiths Private Label Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Smiths private label wrist watch, made in England.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 31.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated with a stainless steel case back, it is in good condition for a 1950s piece, as is the lens.

The dial is signed with the original retailer’s name, Mann of Gloucester. It is in its original finish and is in very acceptable condition, just a little paint loss to the numbers and perhaps a little age related darkening.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
