A Charming Austrian terracotta tobacco jar and cover c.1890 hand painted in the form of a smiling old gent with his collar turned up wearing a crumpled top hat which forms the removable cover. This fine terracotta jar is stamped on the underside and apart from an aged chip on the lip of the hat it is in excellent condition standing 6 ¾ inches tall.
