A charming French ormolu trinket box c.1870 of oval form it has a decorative band around the body and a hinged lid centred with a circular porcelain plaque depicting the portrait of a lady in purple, flanked either side with decorative urn motifs. This splendid box has a green velvet interior and is in excellent overall condition measuring 3 ½ inches across.
