A fine silver-plated claret jug by Elkington & Co made in 1856 with a sinuous form circular foot and ornate handle this jug is chased around the body with festoons & flowers finished with a beaded border around the foot rim and spout, and has a hinged gilt cover for the spout. This superb claret jug is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration and is clearly marked around the foot rim; it stands 12 inches tall.
