A fine and large Japanese Meiji period hardwood hibachi (hand warmer) decorated around the body with mother of pearl inlay and gilded lacquer chrysanthemums and birds in flight, this splendid bowl has a removable copper inset making it multi-functional for modern day life.
This splendid hibachi has general scuff marks around the body commensurate with genuine use, otherwise it is in very good condition standing 8 ½ inches tall with a diameter of 12 inches.
