A Stunning Quality Mahogany Late Victorian Period Chippendale Designed Oval Partners Desk.

Description

A stunning quality mahogany Late Victorian Period Chippendale designed oval partners desk. The oval top is cross banded in mahogany and has a red leather writing surface with blind tooled detail and a ribbon and floral carved moulded edge. Each side with three bow front mahogany lined drawers with crisp carved detail and circular brass handles, the locks are stamped VR. With panelled doors to the front and reverse with finely carved panels depicting swans and opening to reveal sliding trays. The whole supported on a mahogany plinth with inset castors. English Circa 1880-1900 in the Chippendale taste.

Dimensions: 48" wide x 32" deep x 30" high (knee hole 24" high x 15" wide)

Condition: This desk is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed, complete with keys
