A 1930s Art Deco Trojan Pocket Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A 1930s Art Deco Trojan pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality signed 15-jewel adjusted Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is stamped ‘safety barrel’, a safety barrel prevents

damage to the movement in the advent of the mainspring breaking.

The watch itself measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The beautifully patterned case was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company and it is in very nice condition. The Art Deco design to the screw-on case back is particularly charming.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in beautiful condition.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
