Description

Very smart French marble top bookcase or display cabinet c.1920. Original rose marble top with moulded edge over a glazed two door cabinet with three adjustable shelves. Symmetrically arranged kingwood veneers to the front and sides with rosewood borders and contrasting inlays. Blind base panels to the doors with a marquetry inlaid design of baskets of flowers with ribbon bows. Ormolu mounts to the shoulders, keyholes and at the centre of the apron. Raised on short turned and reeded legs with further mounts to the collars and feet. Oak groundwork to the doors, oak frame and back boards. Excellent colour and condition, retaining the makers stamp the to the rear. Cleaned and polished in our workshops, key supplied.
