The original finial and cast bell. The original verge escapement to the 30 hour duration rope driven mechanism. Made to be wall hanging or can be mounted on the supplied later well made oak bracket. Circa 1745.

George Clarke of Leadenhall Street in London is recorded in Baillies' 'Clockmakers and Watchmakers of The World' book as working 1725-1787. A fine table clock, Turkish market clock and a clock in a museum is noted.
