1940 Zenith Open Faced Pocket Watch with Chain

1920 - 1940
Description

A 1940 Zenith open faced pocket watch with chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, calibre 19-34-2 T, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Zenith name and the serial number 3271559 dates it back to 1940. The movement is protected by an inner cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and is signed Comrade. It has some surface marking to the back and some rubbing to the plate on the bezel.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single 18ct rolled gold chain with a swivel fob.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
