Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1750s.
Each drawer with raised bowed mould decoration, surrounding brass handles, with floral cast back plates. The two longer drawers centred by swagged vase escutcheon plates, within circular mouldings. The lower frieze with scrolled and bowed mould edging, running to the scrolled toes, which support the chest, above the rounded corners, with complimentary bowed mouldings.
The sides with fielded panels, and shaped lower edges.
Date c 1770.
Height 28 inches, width 30 inches, depth 14 1/2 inches.
