An Antique Pioneer Open Faced Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Pioneer open faced pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has some scratching and gentle unevenness.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Star model which was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case is in good condition with just a fairly minor indentation to the back, and a little marking… the engine turned detail is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has some hairline cracks but they are faint and barely noticeable to the naked eye.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
