Good Quality Walnut Antique Leather Shepherd's Crook Armchair

This large handsome desk / armchair dating to the late 19th century circa 1880 - 1900 is of very good proportions.

The back having a solid walnut shaped frame enclosing a removable padded leather inset squab with shaped shepherds crook arms. The seat squab being covered in a fine quality hand dyed tan leather hyde surrounded by a moulded frame which is supported by well carved cabriole legs with the front having a carved shell to the knee terminating on pad feet.

The colour and quality of this chair is superb, with fine timbers used making this a good heavy chair which is always a sign of quality and age.

This antique chair has been fully restored using traditional methods and ready for home use.

A very handsome and importantly comfortable chair which will work in any period setting.

VIEWINGS

We have a reputation for being long established antique dealers in London having had showrooms concurrently running in Islington, Chelsea and Ascot. We have relocated our new showroom, due to London overheads, easily reached between A1 or A10 to just outside of Hertford, Hertfordshire.
