London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
A most pleasing antique sofa presented in very good antique condition
Of classic late Victorian style
Delightfully heavy, bearing testimony to the quality of the traditional craftsmanship

Seating two persons in comfort
Benefiting from a 'drop-arm' allowing full stretch for the longer legged occupants

The sofa benefits from generous, deep, squashy feather filled seat cushions, which provide the correct balance of comfort and support
Rising from castors with original oak bun feet to the front
Desirable blue chenille fabric is both soft and warm. The fabric is relatively recent and in good clean order. There are marks on the fabric which appear to be from spillages - these appear at the front sides/corners and on the front lower panel. They are not evident in some light, and indeed many purchasers may opt to ignore them and enjoy the sofa as is. Do please see the images for full details. Overall the textile to the sofa is very good and it is unfortunate that these marks exist - there is no doubt that this sofa would make a fine choice for a purchaser who wished to have it re-covered, which would be straightforward as the item is so solid

Traditionally upholstered and strongly webbed and sprung
Of quality craftsmanship with attractive proportions
Generous seat depth
A simply lovely small sofa to be welcomed into any location. Practical, classic and with scope to use as is, or re-cover one day

Solidly jointed, robust and very comfortable
