Georgian Mahogany Bow Front Chest on Chest of Drawers C1780

Description

This is a superb georgian mahogany bow fronted chest on chest and dating from around 1780. It has a cornice top with deep mahogany frieze and inlaid stringing above two short drawers over three graduating drawers with canted corners to the side and moulded edge to the middle. The base has three long graduating drawers all the drawers are oak lined and with ivor key escutcheons and later early victorian mahogany turned knob handles. It stands on splayed feet joined by a shaped frieze. It splits into three pieces for ease of transporting. In very good original condition and with a lovely colour and deep patination to the mahogany. There is a join line to the left hand side.

It measures: 71" high X 24" deep X 46" wide
