Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
This is a superb quality and very large Victorian Wall Mirror or Over mantle, it has the early Green and Gold colours associated with Fry’s Celebrated Chocolate advertising banner at the top and another at the bottom of the glass.

These mirrors were usually painted for local sweet or grocer’s shops, this one however is a much more superior piece, it must have been commissioned for the confectionary department of an important department store

The mirror frame is in good sound condition for its age, it does have a few knocks, the lettering dates from the 20th Century, it is pretty sound but the finish is a bit crazed
The Mirror is 68” high, 35” wide, and about 8” deep
