Description

A Fine quality burr walnut & ormolu mounted inlaid Victorian Period credenza. Having a shaped top veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut with purple heart banding above an amboyna, purple heart, sycamore and marquetry inlaid frieze with projecting ebony and walnut ormolu mounted columns. The central rectangular door with a fine boxwood arabesque inlaid panel and opening to reveal two silk lined shelves. The glazed bowed ends enclosing silk lined shelved interiors with flat pilasters to the ends. Supported on an ormolu mounted burr walnut plinth with turned ebony feet. English circa 1870
