A Gents 1950s Omega Wrist Watch

A gents 1950s Omega wrist watch.

The watch has a calibre 410 hand-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Omega and the serial number 15,730,326 dates it back to around 1957. There is a difference in the finish between the bridges within the movement but further investigation has revealed that this is a common occurrence with the 410 so they may well have been manufactured this way (rather than a replacement bridge).

The watch itself measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel. There is a little marking to the case which is commensurate with the age of the watch, but overall very acceptable for a 1950s piece. The winding crown has the Omega logo. The case back has a 1957 inscription on the outside and the Omega triangular stamp to the inside, along with the case reference 2759-9SC which is correct for the calibre 410.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed honeycomb dial has a little age related darkening. Dauphine shaped hands, subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
