This is an antique set of six, English, superb quality dining chairs in rosewood from the reign of William IV c.1835.

In excellent antique condition, this well executed design displays superb craftsmanship in a quality, well figured rosewood with glorious, deep tones and grain detail – all chairs stamped with the cabinet makers name 'F Nicholson'.

Rising from elegant taper tip polygonal legs with a fine moulded seat rail, the stunning moulded and carved backs, with acanthus detailing and wonderful shaped top rail, offer elegant proportion with a strength of joint throughout.

Seating at a generous 47cm (18.5"), the traditionally upholstered drop-in seat pads, pre-finished in calico cotton, are ready for your upholsterer to dress in a fabric of your choice and offer supportive, comfortable seating.
