1922 Gold Plated Elgin Pocket Watch with Chain

1900 - 1920
Description

A 1922 gold plated Elgin pocket watch and chain.

The watch has a stem winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. U.S.A. and has the serial number 24404765 which dates it back to 1922.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem. The case is gold filled and it is a good quality case with screw on back. It is good condition, just a little gentle unevenness to the back.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial has a short faint hairline at 7’clock but you have to look quite carefully to see it. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

The watch comes with a later double albert, with each chain measuring 24cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch will come in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
