An impressive Japanese Meiji period ivory Elephant bridge on a carved hardwood stand depicting six elephants of graduated size crossing a bridge over water, each finely carved elephant takes a slightly different pose and the complete tusk structure is secured into the stand. There is a small but secure age crack on the back tusk of the 3rd elephant otherwise the condition is excellent; the bridge measures 18 inches in length.
